“I have learned to be content in any and every circumstance.” Philippians 4:11
The Apostle Paul experienced ample suffering in his life, which seems to have produced the ability within him to be content, even if his circumstances were less than ideal. We too have the ability to learn to be content. It is a lesson we cannot receive from anyone but Christ. Paul continues by saying, “I have learned the secret of being content in any and all circumstances… I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (v. 12, 13). We too have access to the secret of Paul’s contentment. With Christ we can do anything and everything.
So begin today by asking Him to help you be satisfied no matter what situation you are faced with. Then, take verse 13 with you as you rely upon Him to strengthen you for the task.
