What did you do on your last date with your spouse? Have you implemented any of the ideas from my previous posts, yet? If not, there’s still time (Lord willing)! Take advantage of these fun and (mostly) cheap date activities I’ve laid out for you!
99. Go to an arcade.
My husband and I did this for the first time just a couple months ago. I’m not very good at these games… but it was something different and my husband enjoyed it. Make sure you bring lots of quarters!
100. Take a train ride.
Choose a destination and buy your ticket! In college I took the train to Chicago a few times. It was much more enjoyable than traveling by bus and more spacious than traveling by plane. Bring along some travel-friendly games, a good book, or just enjoy conversation with your spouse as you ride.
101. Challenge each other to a tournament of ping pong, air hockey, or pool.
I’ve done this and… lost. Although, I did beat him once in air hockey. A little friendly competition is good for every couple. Plus, most men love to play these games and would be thrilled to be challenged by their wives. Show him what you’re made of!
102. Visit a local fair or festival.
This is the perfect place to find fried food! If you enjoy rides, it’s a cheaper way to enjoy them than by going to the Great Escape, though they aren’t very comparable. Visiting the various booths and festivities is bound to drum up good conversation- don’t forget to hold hands as you walk!
103. Look up a personality test online and quiz each other.
It’s important for wives to be lifelong learners of their partners. The longer you’re married you think you know your partner like the back of your hand, but it’s likely something will come up in this activity that surprises you about your spouse.
104. Make a map of the places you have been and the places where you would like to go.
Print a map from the Internet or purchase one. You can determine whether you want a world map, country map, or state map. Mark the places you’ve been with a black dot and the places you’d like to go with a red star. Then, plan the first place you’re going to knock of your list!
105. Have a fondue night.
Finger foods are delicious, especially when fondue is present. The sky is the limit. Purchase fruit, pretzels, marshmallows, etc. and dip away! You could do this during a movie night or game night or while putting together a puzzle. Just be sure napkins are close at hand!
So, what are you going to do on your next date?
