Dating Your Spouse: 196 Activity Ideas {Week 9}

Even though Fall is fast approaching, there are still so many fun activities you can enjoy outside. Here are some ideas for you to take advantage of the weather with your spouse. Don’t wait- winter will be here before you know it!

57. Random 6-Letter Word Date: (Example: if you choose the word “joyful”, wear something beginning with a “J”, eat something beginning with an “O”, etc. I’ll fill it out below to complete the example.)
1) What to wear? Jeans
2) What to eat? Omelets
3) Where to go? Your backyard
4) What to do? Flag Football
5) Conversational Topic? Undenominational
6) Treat? Fondue

58. Visit the zoo.
This is the perfect date activity to enjoy with the whole family. But you could also go alone, just the two of you. Since going to Africa and going on a real Safari, visiting zoos will probably never again cut it for me, but don’t let me spoil it for you. This is something you don’t do every day and should give you plenty to talk about.

59. Take a ferry ride.
You can do this just for the sake of riding on the ferry over a lake, or to get to a destination across the lake. Bring a camera to document your adventure!

60. Go geocaching.
For those of you who have never heard of it, here is the Oxford Dictionary definition: “the recreational activity of hunting for and finding a hidden object by means of GPS coordinates posted on a website.” Obviously, this will require you have access to the internet and to a GPS, if not a smart phone. I have not done this, but I’ve heard from others who have that it is a fun experience.

61. Go to the beach and build a sand castle together.
You can work on one as a team or get a little competitive and build separate ones. If you get bored with that, try taking turns burying each other in the sand! Afterward, go for a swim to get (most) the dirt off of you.

62. Go to a playground and swing side-by-side.
Make a game out of it and see who can swing the highest and/or jump off the swing the furthest. Or you could just take it easy and talk peacefully as you swing. You choose.

63. Wash the car together.
This can be both functional and fun- it kills two birds with one stone! Make sure it’s a warm enough day… who knows, a water fight might break out! (You’ve been forewarned!)

What do you hope to do with your spouse before it gets too cold outside?
