21 Ways to Pray for Your Spouse (Part 3)

The last couple weeks I have been listing ways in which we as wives can pray daily for our husbands. If you missed last week, go here. Or maybe you never saw the first post. If that’s you, go here.

Finally, pray that God would…

15. Help him be a spiritual leader.
“For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body.” Ephesians 5:23

16. Give him wisdom in all situations.
“For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.” Proverbs 2:6

17. Guide his steps.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6

18. Allow him to hear God’s voice.
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me…” John 10:27

19. Help him rely completely on God.
“…indeed, we had the sentence of death within ourselves so that we would not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead…” 2 Corinthians 1:9

20. Protect him physically and spiritually.
“But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy, and spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may exult in you.” Psalm 5:11

21. Give him the rest he needs.
“Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him.” Psalm 62:1
