If you missed the first 7 ways to pray for your spouse from last Monday, go here.
Here are 7 additional ways to pray for your spouse on a regular basis:
Pray God would…
8. Keep him humble.
“Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. 8 Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.” Philippians 2:5-8
9. Give him boldness in witnessing.
“…grant that Your bond-servants may speak Your word with all confidence…” Acts 4:29
10. Help him use his time wisely.
“making the most of your time, because the days are evil.” Ephesians 5:16
11. Allow him to grow in Christ daily.
“but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.” 2 Peter 3:18
12. Fill him with the Holy Spirit.
“And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit…” Ephesians 5:18
13. Help him keep the Lord first in his life.
“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:33
14. Help him treasure the Lord.
“for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:21
